In addition to the usual food and drink, Copse Corner will also sell a range of the following to add to its customer base: free range eggs, locally grown organic vegetables, fire logs, kindling and charcoal.
When the unit is attending motorsports events a few "extras" may be on offer e.g. head torches, woolly hats, gloves, maps and pens etc.
The unit will also be taken to events. The majority of these will be motorsport events, predominantly night time road rallys. Both partners in the business have a long standing interest in motorsport. They have been involved as marshals at all levels of rallying for well over 15 years, from local club events to international world championship rounds. Gary has, for the last few years, been involved in the competitive side of road rallying in Wales both as a navigator and driver, and has won several awards at the top level in the sport in Wales.
Through their work they have gained valuable insight in to the potential for a captive market at such events. Also a great many contacts have been formulated.
The average Welsh road rally should expect to

attract around 75 entries, totalling around 150 competitors with Navigators and Drivers. Each competing crew would then expect to bring at least one marshal with them for the event. In addition to these there are members of the organising club, photographers and general spectators. It is therefore reasonable to expect in excess of around 300 people at the start of an event.
The events operate at unsocial hours, often when other hot food is not available, and sometimes from remote locations. There should be opportunities to trade at the start venue, but also the possibility of attracting customers at the halfway fuel halt. The Partners are also heavily involved with "Rally Stage Team" which supports several competing crews and assists with recruiting marshals for UK events.
